5 Blaze
Adding an element of glamour to Streets of Rage, Blaze (a female cop) was a kick-ass babe. The sequel Streets of Rage 2 got her to take her jacket off and squeezed her into a tight white t-shirt. Almost makes you feel jealous of the thugs she tussles with.
Almost.
But I quite like my nose how it is - unbroken. Ta.
4 Ms Pacman The original female game character. Maybe she's not that HOT per se, but hey - I like a woman with an appetite, and man, she can put her food away! The Retro Game Babe for those who like their women spherical, yellow and possibly diabetic.
3 Lara Croft
Yes, a Top 10 Retro Game Babe feature wouldn't be complete without Lara. The quintessential posh totty, she's a walking amalgamation of everything that gamers want in a woman. With her impossible curves, plummy accent and revealing wardrobe, she has been in the hearts (and loins) of gamers ever since she took the scene by storm in the mid 90's. And after a wobbly bit at the beginning of the last decade, she's back in good hands and going from strength to strength. And from jiggle physics to realistic wet-look clothes.
I need to lie down now.
2 Samus Aran
One of the big surprises of 8-bit gaming was when Samus was unveiled as a girl. Rock hard, and fit to boot, this is one girl you wouldn't want to mess with.
Turn to the next page for the Number 1 Retro Game Babe...
Vixen (sexy warrior with a whip), Papergirl (from Paperboy2), Jill of the Jungle (PC DOS) - but why when she lands after a jump it sounds like an Earthquake.
