Largely for THAT outfit. You know the one I mean - the miniskirt she wore in Resident Evil 3. That's a woman with some serious dedication to looking hot - while all around her burns and the survivors are donning hazmat suits and getting the hell out of Dodge, Jill is swanning around in a short-short-short miniskirt and boob-tube, with thigh-high boots. And while wearing this, she has to fend off the attentions of a sweaty, glistening monster. And the Nemesis (sorry Carlos.)
9 Zelda
Admittedly there is no ONE Zelda, if you believe Miyamoto and his team's interminable attempt to enforce a timeline on the Zelda series. But nonetheless the many Links have almost all had to rescue the princess at one point or another. Link may have dallied with other women in the past (Marin, Din and Naryu), but he always comes back to the princess eventually.
8 Princess Peach
Definitely a natural blonde, this Retro Game Babe has been kidnapped more times than this writer has had fantasies about monkey butlers. But okay, maybe she's not so good on home security, but hey - she's hot, in that aloof, posh-girl kind of way. And I doubt Mario puts up with rescuing her on a fortnightly basis without some kind of reward.
Posh, aloof and a little bit dirty? She's like the Sarah Ferguson of the Mushroom Kingdom.
7 Mai Shiranui
SNK's sexy female fighter has probably the most revealing of all the costumes in this Top 10. Designed to emphasise her boobs and butt at every turn. This can be used to devastating effect in two-player, when her jiggling distracts the other player while you slap them to the moon. She's a tasty fighter too, and a staple of the King of Fighters series.
6 Morrigan
Created by Capcom (also responsible for Chun Li, who almost made it into this list), Morrigan is a succubus, a creature of sexual power. They did a bang-up job of designing her, and Morrigan fan art and fan fiction is amongst some of the most adulatory and just plain filthy on the internet.
