Hi all,

Since I’m planning on contributing a bit of news content to this lovely site I thought it would be a good idea to give you a bit of background info on the wonderful life of Dark Link.

First things first, my name isn’t really Dark Link, shocking I know. My name’s Adam (and no Eve jokes please, I’ve heard them all).

I fear that a lot of the content on this site is going to go straight over my head, I’m only 25 see and my first console was the Sega Mega Drive so that’s what culminates ‘retro’ for me. I have played a handful of earlier titles such as Jetpac, Donkey Kong and Space Invaders but as you’ll notice these are the more well known classics. 123 Maze, who? AbcZX, what? I’ve no idea what these words mean!

Through the years I’ve owned a Sega Mega Drive, N64, Gamecube, GBA, GBA SP, DS, Wii and Xbox 360 – That’s right, I’ve never owned a Playstation!

My coolest bit of retro kit is my Sega Multi Mega though, which I picked up for about £60 5 years ago.

The N64 was when my love of games really took off and you could say I became a bit of a Nintendo fanboy (though I thought Rare were the best developers of the late 90’s)

My favourite game was, and still is, Banjo-Kazooie. Everything about it appealed to my 13-year-old self and I could happily go back and play it through to completion again today.

In my free time I like to create my own games and I’m actually looking to get a job in the industry having got an MSc in Computer Games Design last year.

Anyway, that’s me. If you like the articles I write for the site let me know, if you hate them… go away, I don’t want to hear from you.

You're almost the antithesis of me!  ;)  I come from a background of C64s, ZX Spectrums, the Game&Watch and errr... BigTrak!

This means I'm REALLY looking forward to reading your work - I'm open to being convinced about "later" consoles like the Dreamcast and N64 but I have to admit, as yet, I'm not convinced!!

Over to you!
