Do You Guys Watch Videos?

Do you guys still watch videos?  Or maybe you only watch videos and not dvd's?

I still have loads of videos and I do still watch them.  I will buy dvds of old films I dont have simply cos its cheaper for postage if I buy online.  However If i was in a second hand shop and they had it for 25p as thats how much they tend to be in those shops, then I would buy it

p.s any of you guys watch laser discs?

Yes, I still have a couple of VCRs set up as there are a few films I enjoy that have never been released on DVD in the UK. Also, as mentioned, secondhand and charity shops seem to sell VHS tapes cheaply so sometimes I will spot a film I would not mind watching and pick it up. At between 10p and 30p it is a lot cheaper than renting and if I like the film I can always look for it on DVD at a later date. The films I don't want to keep can always be sent back to the charity shop or even sold at the local church tabletop sale or car boot sale.

Quite a few people I know have taken to doing the same. In these financially shaky times we are in it makes sense to dig the VCR out of the attic and save a few pennies.

I was going to mention that but I forgot.  How about some films still have not been released on dvd and saying that, probably never will!  However I think that most of these films tend to cost a small bit on video.  Perhaps £10.  1 film I liked was Cave girl and i saw that on ebay for about  a tenner.

Agree about its so much cheaper than to rent dvds.  I think Blockbuster is £3.49 a dvd.  I remember years ago when dvds were first on the go, a lot of people were throwing out their videos and then buying the same films again on dvds.  I just thought it was pointless and also very expensive!

I mentioned laser disc but forgot to add Betamax!  Anybody use that either?
