I know occasionaly once a blue moon cinemas will show an old film! But saying that, I think there are already cinemas in America solely dedicated to old films.
Anyway, if your local cinema was showing old films, would you go see them? I would even though I have the film on video because it would perhaps let me see a film in the cinema i never got to go watch as a child. And it would also give me an excuse for a night out But with that said, loads of people will just think what a waste of money lol
When they released the newer Star Wars movies, some cinemas were showing the originals (I think they stopped that before the 3rd film was released though due to more people watching the older movies after opening weekend for the new one). It was great. There are some theaters that do this for Halloween by showing a lot of older horror movies leading up to a new release (usually on slow nights during the week).
1 of the cinemas in Aberdeen is showing Alien on Wednesday. However they are charging the price of £8 to go watch this. To be honest, this is pretty steep in my opinion. Out of the 3 cinemas here this cinema is the least favourite and at a price of £8, I cant see many people going to watch this
What kind of price would you guys pay to watch retro films? I think something like £2.50 or £3 would be more reasonable.
P.S The other 2 main cinemas here have a price of £6.25 and £7.80, not including the cheaper prices for students, kids etc (Prices to watch new films)

I'd love to go and watch some oldies at the pictures again. Naturally I'd expect them to be cheaper, but I'd be first in the queue to watch Star Wars again, or Back to the Future, or Alien. Particularly the likes of Alien and Night of the Living Dead, actually, as I never got to see them the first time they were on.
And I love going to the pictures, but there's seldom anything on these days that I fancy. Checking out The Matrix again would be sweet, or Raiders of the Lost Ark - big films that really benefit from a big screen.
Also, they should bring choc ices around during the intermission.
Would love to see Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger again in the cinema - the first film my parents ever took me to see. My sister ate so much crap she puked in the aisle!
