Iphone 4 and Water - disaster

To cut a long story short, I was in a canoe over the weekend on a river in Wales and it capsized. My iPhone 4, which I have owned for about 6 weeks, was in my pocket.

It has just cost me £125 to get it repaired

yeah, once those water sensors get wet you're pretty screwed. Moral of the story, stick to playing canoe simulators instead! (im sure there is one)

the idea of canoeing in Wales fills me with dread. The only time I have ever canoed was when I was 14 and on an adventure holiday and they made us canoe 20km or something along the river Severn. We were in those canoes for two people I can still remember the pain as the hard plastic from the other paddler smacked into my cold, wet and red hand several times.

Yea,  banged my hand a number of times on the side of the canoe and grimaced each time.

Seems like my phone is back but now with the PO in town - will pick it up in the morning. So hopefully this is the sorry end to this adventure.

Re: Iphone 4 and Water - disaster

Long story - the App Store in Solihull gave me a new iPhone 4 for no cost whatsoever to replace my water damaged one.

Customer Service or what?
