Re: Skyrim

Got the official book for the game today from Game for £19.99. Seen them going for £35 on E-bay.

Still not quite sure how the Perk system works - any help appreciated

Re: Skyrim

As far as perks go, i'd say chose 4 or 5 areas you'd like to excel at and keep piling into those. This playthrough i've gone for smithing, enchanting, destruction and heavy armour.

Re: Skyrim

Ninja is spot on, I went with Sneak (maxed), Archery (nearly maxed), Light Armour, 1 handed and I put a single perk point in smithing just to upgrade magical items. You'll be able to max more than 5 I reckon, soft level cap at 50 but then a hard level cap at something like 80? or so I've been told. Also read there is a maximum 88 perk points available? again, just what I've been told, could be bollocks.

Re: Skyrim

I got to the point on thursday where my heavy armour weighs nothing so i can now carry all the crap I was having to leave behind. Also, I'd recommend keeping a follower with you as an extra pair of hands to carry stuff. Nothing worse than finding something deep in a cave system and not having space to take it with you

I always have a follower as a pack mule :-) also if you want them to live a long and helpful life? give them good stuff to wear and use - the AI is smart and will equip and use the best stuff

I think I am just scratching the surface with this game - up to Level 13 now.

Re: Skyrim

I got this for xmas but the text in this game is too small and is thus difficult to read on my CRT tv so am a bit disappointed. I loved Oblivion but I am not throwing out a perfectly fine tv and getting a new one just for this game.

Re: Skyrim

Ahh, I am playing this on a 50" 1080p Plasma TV - I am blessed

The CRT will not give this game an once of justice - time to get a new TV Whizz.

Re: Skyrim

So now i'm juat about 90 hours into Skyrim (level 42). This sort of time investment was previously only reserved for Final Fantasy games, but Skyrim never fails to impress me. I'm still staying away from the main questline and exploring every inch of the map. There are so many things to do, I can't see me being finished any time soon. This weekend I came across the ghost of a headless horseman just casually making its way across the map from Markarth to Whiterun. Very strange
