ALF? Was that the alien one where he was always after Lucky the cat and he liked some song called "Help Me Rhonda"? If so, yes, I watched it a lot in my younger days but it wasn't my fave for some reason. Still worth watching though, which I did A LOT.
Monkey p*sses off the gods when he reckons he should be amongst them and gets sent on a journey with a priest, a fish spirit and a pig spirit to pick up some holy scriptures. There's usually a couple of scraps in each episode and some humour as well, sadly it was one of those shows that never got finished but it's worth checking out.
