Really looking forward to teh new Tron film, actually. This cab will double in street cred when that comes out. Check out the Tron Legacy trailer - there's a DoT cab taking centre stage
Was thinking of selling it at one point - but it is a great play think and it's good fun to play. Just put the "Mala" front end on to it - used to be Maximus.
I built a cab myself lst year (started in 2009 and finished last summer). Got a few months play out of it before the ipac board on it started having problems. Finally got it working again a week or so again and I realised just how much I'd missed it once I got playing again.
Currently struggling to get my complete C64 collection renamed properly (the emulators don't like ZIP files so I need to somehow rename thousands of .D64 and .T64 files).
I might upload some details about the cab and use it for a few ramblings over the coming weeks and months.
Also, just watched the video of you cab and when you were scrolling through the MAME games, occasionally pausing at the odd game here and there I wasn't sure if you'd actually load one up.
Then you got to Rainbow Islands (a game I always have to have a go on if I scroll past it) and laughed to myself when you started that one off. It's hard to resist isn't it? Somehow I knew you'd pick that one as soon as I saw it in the list.
Welcome to the site. Built loads of cabs over the years - most rewarding thing I have ever done. When they are finished and I'm picking game to test, I always seem to land on 1944 or Rainbow Islands. Firm favourites for horizontal testing. For vertical games, it is always Phoenix and 1942.
Would love to see your cab. You can add URL links into posts by showing the icon bar by clicking that little 'down' arrow top left above the edit box and then clicking the insert image icon.
