The brighter amongst you may quickly realise there is an omission to the initial promises the update would bring. Anyone....
Well I will tell you - the inclusion of a Browser to surf the net. This in my opinion is not a deal breaker with this patch - using a browser on the standard is a little bit clunky.
This update should empower the 3DS - it's a shame we don't know exactly the day this going to land.
By the way, mine is the blue one - what colour is yours?
That rumour about Nintendo bricking consoles remotely seems very unlikely to me. For it to be legal then Nintendo would have to change the status of the purchase to a lease where they have the right to terminate the agreement if you break Nintendos rules. Once you have purchased something it is between you, your consciense and the law as to how you use it with regard to legally dubious stuff such as flash cards. It is completely out of Nintendos control.
Looks like this is gonna hit the 3DS on June 7th - Quite a disappointing delay if I'm honest. I've finished Pilotwings and Ridge Racer is getting a bit long in the tooth - I could do with a 3DS game to keep me going until Ocarina of Time, but there isn't anything.
Back to the GBA I go then...
PS I wouldn't risk using any R4-type devices on the 3DS yet, as the 3DS logs what has been played on the system - I've heard that these devices WILL brick a 3DS. It's not worth the risk to be honest.
