Galaga is my second favourite arcade game, closely following Phoenix. I just love the sound the game makes when you put the coin into the slot; I love the attract mode jingle that plays before the start of the first level and the continuous humming back ground sound as the Galaga swooped down towards you was just the icing on the cake.
Galaga is unbelievably 30 years old on the 23rd July and to celebrate Namco has released a 30th Anniversary Collection on the iPhone which includes Galaxian. Galaga, Gaplus, and Galaga '88 must be purchased as DLC from within the free application.
