Remember that bloody awful Sonic game a little while ago, with the whole stupid Were-hedgehog thing? Well, there one or two brief moments of nostalgic awesomeness embedded in that trite whoring or Sega's classic mascot, when the game switched to a side-scrolling perspective and we suddenly saw what Sonic THe Hedgehog would have looked like if it was first developed for the Xbox 360.
It seems Sega was paying attention, as Sonic The Hedgehog 4 is a game built around that concept. Sonic Team has shed the third dimension (where Sonic was never very comfortable, save in Sonic R) and is ramping up its digital download-only addition to the classic platforming franchise.
The first episode of Sonic The Hedgehog 4 is slated for a late 2010 release on XBLA, PSN, WiiWare and, rather excitingly, iPhone. If you haven't seen it already, here's the trailer. Your thoughts on a postcard, retronauts (that's the comments section below).
I know I commented on this before but it seams to have dissappeared. The only reason that SEGA delayed this game is so they can release it on I phone. It wasnt going to be ready for Iphone till the fall but the xbox360 version and the PS3 version wer and are allready done.
