I went to see Tron when it first hit the screen in '82 (just after I got back from 'Nam (not really)) but I've got to admit it didn't quite make my MicroDrive squeal.
Watching it again as a tragic thirty-something, the film has improved immensely. The work that went into the effects alone make it an impressive beast, and the dialogue suggests it was actually way ahead of its time. So these days I'm a Tron fan, and really looking forward to the impending reboot coming from Disney at the end of the year.
