The Dizzy series of games were a huge hit on the 8 and 16 bit computers and since those days Philip and Andrew Oliver contunally get asked whether they will ever do another.
Well Codemasters own the IP on the Dizzy name and it is them who are pushing out a new game in the seires onto Android, iPhone and iPad platforms on the 9th December (my mother's birthday incidentally!).
Check out the site for the game here and take a look at the teaser video below. The game looks everything a Dizzy game should be with the added clout that the newer platforms can give it - very simiar in look to the Amiga Dizzy games.
I've often said iOS would be a good platfoirm for Dizzy. I hope they build in a 6minute loading sequence too, just to show the kids what real gaming is about
